      Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will be there to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport. Our staff members will be holding a nameplate with your name outside the arrival area. They will assist you and transfer you to a comfortable 3-star hotel (bed & breakfast). Check in to the hotel and we will have the first group meeting with your guide in the hotel.
On the second day our experienced guide will provide a half-day city tour in Kathmandu. The top places to visit on that day are Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. We'll arrange transportation and provide an experienced city cultural guide to accompany the group, providing informative commentary. The tour starts after breakfast, beginning with Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. It's the oldest stupa in the world, and from the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The guide will share insights into its rich history and cultural significance. After Swayambhunath, we'll proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you'll encounter the old palace and numerous temples, each telling a unique story. You might get an opportunity to see the living goddess Kumari at Kathmandu Durbar square.
Our day begins with an early start as we embark on a road trip from Kathmandu to Maccha Khola, a journey spanning 7 to 8 hours. Our route takes us through Arughat, a stopping point along the way. Traveling alongside the Budhi Gandaki River, we will witness the recent dam project undertaken by Nepal, showcasing the country's ongoing development efforts. Finally, we will arrive at Maccha Khola, where we will make preparations for the upcoming trek and settle in for the night.
We will start our journey from day 4 by hiking towards Jagat. During the hike, we will be walking alongside the Budhi Gandaki River which is a tributary of Gandaki River in Nepal. You will also stumble upon the famous hot springs at Tatopani where you can choose to spend some time during the trek. At Jagat, we will also come across the gateway to the Manaslu Conservation Area where you will have to register your permits. It will take us 7 to 8 hours to reach Jagat.
After resting ourselves at Jagat for the night, we will then head for a moderate hike of 6 to 7 hours towards Lokpa. On the way, we will be able to get a memorable view of Mount Sringi while we are in Salleri. We will then head to Sirdibas where we will cross the longest suspension bridge in Nepal and will eventually arrive at Lokpa which is also called as the gateway to the Tsum Valley.
We will head towards Chumling through the thick pine and rhododendron forests and also come across more suspension bridges. On the way, we will also have the opportunity to visit the three major monasteries of Chumling that include the Panago monastery, Mani Dhungyur and the Gurwa monastery. It will take us 4 to 5 hours to reach Chumling.
We will then proceed towards Rachen Gompa by hiking for 6 to 7 hours. We will continue the journey by crossing across suspension bridges. We will also come across the town of Chhokang Paro which will give us spectacular views of the Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal.
After spending the night at Rachen Gompa, we will go towards Nile where we will spend some time there. However, our objective for the day is not done as we will be heading towards Mu Gompa at 3700m which is the largest monastery in the area as well as the highest point of our trek. The monastery contains priceless Buddhist artifacts and cultural heritage and will give you an insight into Buddhism in Nepal. After visiting Mu Gompa, we will then head back to Nile to spend the night.
There will be a shift in the trek as we will now head more towards the south of the region to reach Gumba Langdang. We will continue passing through large forests of pine and rhododendrons. It may take us 7 to 8 hours to reach Gumba Langdang where we will spend the night.
On this day, we will head towards Ganesh Himal Base Camp to take in the beautiful sights of the mountain ranges in the valley. We will eventually return to Gumba Langdang and spend another night. This will take us 7 to 8 hours to complete the hike.
We will then start our descent on the trek and head back towards Lokpa which we crossed earlier while heading up towards the valley. We will continue crossing through pine and rhododendron forests and after a 6-to-7-hour hike, we will eventually reach Lokpa.
After spending the night at Lokpa, we will continue descending and reach Jagat which is a large Gurung settlement in the area. Along the way, we will also be able to rejoin the Budhi Gandaki River.
The trek back to Maccha Khola will be a pleasant and easy one as the route mainly comprises us walking downhill. We will continue crossing several suspension bridges along the way and will be able to take in the sights we may have missed earlier while Ascending
We will then drive from Maccha Khola to Kathmandu which may be a 7- to-8-hour road trip by private Jeep while passing through Arughat that will be the stopping point of our road trip. We will then arrive at Kathmandu. Today you are free to unwind after the trek and please let us know if you have any activities that you would like to explore.
Check out time from the hotel at 12 noon. We will arrange your International airport transportation during your departure time. You must be at the airport 3 hours prior to your flight time at Kathmandu International airport.
