      Itinerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative. They will be waiting with a guest's placard and will transfer you to your hotel. Hotel checking at 5 PM will be followed by the first group meeting with your guide
On the second day our experienced guide will provide a half-day city tour in Kathmandu. The top places to visit on that day are Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. We'll arrange transportation and provide an experienced city cultural guide to accompany the group, providing informative commentary. The tour starts after breakfast, beginning with Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. It's the oldest stupa in the world, and from the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The guide will share insights into its rich history and cultural significance. After Swayambhunath, we'll proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you'll encounter the old palace and numerous temples, each telling a unique story. You might get an opportunity to see the living goddess Kumari at Kathmandu Durbar square.
Today, we will take a bus or jeep from Kathmandu to Maccha Khola which will be a 9-to-10-hour road trip. The ride starts smoothly from Kathmandu to Arughat, but brace yourself for a bumpy road onwards to Maccha Khola. Through the road trip, you will have an opportunity to witness the variety of landscapes in the Annapurna region of Nepal.
We will start our trek on day 4 heading towards Jagat. We will be hiking alongside the Budhi Gandaki River which is a tributary of Gandaki River in Nepal. You will also stumble upon the famous hot springs at Tatopani where you can choose to spend some time during the trek. At Jagat, we will also come across the gateway to the Manaslu Conservation Area where you will have to register your permits. It will take us 7 to 8 hours to reach Jagat.
The journey from Jagat to Deng will lead us along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River. We will pass through bamboo forests and cross suspension bridges. Along the way, we will come across the village of Phillim, a big Gurung community. Finally, we will reach Deng where we will stay overnight. The trek will take us around 5 to 6 hours.
After resting at Deng, we will then head to Namgrung and on the pathway, we will get a glimpse of the Shringi Himal with its spectacular view. We will also come across Mani walls which is a Buddhist carving on the wall. They represent many aspects of the Buddha and Buddhism and shows us the Tibetan cultural ties in the area. We will then reach Namrung after a 6-to-7-hour hike.
As you go through the thickly covered rhododendron forests and the Barley fields along the way from Namrung to Lho, you will begin to see a difference in the cultural group where we will gradually see more Buddhist sculptures and manis. On the way, we will cross the village of Lihi that will give us the first sight of Mount Manaslu and other mountains in its route. The trek to Lho will be 4 to 5 hours where we will rest for the night.
We will then ascend into deeper Buddhist territory where we will see more Tibetan settlements along the way. Samagaon also boasts a beautiful view of Mount Manaslu and a large Tibetan settlement. It will be a short hike during this day which will take us 3 to 4 hours during the day where at Samagaon, you can enjoy exploring the monasteries in the area as well as the different Tibetan lifestyles the people in the area adopt.
We will spend the 11th day of the trek acclimatizing to the altitude in the upper regions of the Manaslu region. We will spend the day resting our bodies and getting our bodies used to the altitude before heading to the Larkya La Pass. We will spend the day exploring the village of Samagaon as well as hiking to Manaslu base camp 4,400m.
Just like the day before, we will take another short hike of 3 to 4 hours from Samagaon to Samdo which is another Tibetan settlement in the region. We will continue walking along the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River as well as thick forests of Rhododendron and bamboo forests that have a wide variety of flora and fauna. We will then reach Samdo which is known for being close to the Tibetan border where we will spend the following night.
After spending a day at Samdo, we will then take a relatively short hike of 3 to 4 hours from Samdo to Larkha Phedi/Dharmasala. On this trail, we will get the most spectacular view of Mount Manaslu and the Syacha glacier. We will then reach Larkha Phedi where we will rest as early as possible to get ourselves ready for the challenging day ahead.
This will be the longest hike during the Manaslu circuit trek that may take 8 to 9 hours as we will cross the Larkya La (5,106m) pass which is the highest point of this trek during this day. It will be a steep ascent towards the Larkya La pass where we will get the best view of the whole trek of not only Mount Manaslu but other snow-capped mountains along the way. After that, we will then descend towards Bimthang where we will spend the night
Just like the descent to Bimthang, the day will be similar and will be a long hike as we will descend from Bimthang to Dharapani which will be a long descent. Just like the days before, we will hike through forests of rhododendron and bamboos which will eventually bring us to Dharapani. Start early.
After spending the night at Dharapani, we will drive to Kathmandu during the day where we will conclude our Manaslu circuit trek.
Check out time from the hotel at 12 noon. We will arrange your international airport transportation during your departure time. You must be at the airport 3 hours prior to your flight time at Kathmandu International airport.
