      Itinerary

      Arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport and our representative will be there holding guest's placards outside of the arrival zone. Our staff will drop guest(s) at the hotel for check-in. We will conduct a first group meeting with the assigned guide at the hotel.
      The second day will be filled with a half-day guided walking tour in Kathmandu. The main attractions for the day are Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. We'll arrange transportation and provide an experienced city cultural guide to accompany the group, providing informative commentary. The tour starts after breakfast, beginning with Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. It's the oldest stupa in the world, and from the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The guide will share insights into its rich history and cultural significance. After Swayambhunath, we'll proceed to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where you'll encounter the old palace and numerous temples, each telling a unique story.
      After a day of rest in Kathmandu, we will then fly to Bhadrapur which is a 45-minute flight. Upon reaching there, we will then board a Local private jeep/bus to Taplejung which could be as long as 8 hours. Along the way, we will pass through Illam which is the largest tea plantation in Nepal. It is also a popular destination for many domestic trips. We will then arrive at Taplejung where we will spend the night.
      After spending the night in Taplejung, we will head to the village of Lali Kharka which is in Yangwarak, Taplejung. The trek will take a total of 5-6 hours.
      The next day we will head to Khesewa where we will spend the night. Just like the trip to Lali Kharka, it will take another 5-6 hours to reach.
      We will continue our trip towards Mamangkhe which is another small village settlement in Taplejung. From Khesewa, it will take us another 5-6 hours to reach there. We will be spending the following night in Mamangkhe.
      Yamphudin is another small village located in Tapleung. This will be a littie longer as it will take us 6-7 hours to reach there. We will then spend the following night in Yamphudin which is a village that is inhabited by different cultural groups that include the Sherpas, Rais, Gurungs and Limbus.
      After the night at Yamphudin, we will head to Tortong through the lush vegetation and rhododendron blooming during the season. We will also encounter many bhattis (small teahouses) along the way to Tortong where we can enjoy the local tea and delicacies. The hike will take a total of 6 hours.
      From Tortong, we will walk another 5-6 hours to reach a small village called Ramche. It will be a relaxing walk during the hike where we will walk amongst the thick grove of rhododendron flowers blooming during the season and the river. We will then arrive at Ramche where we will spend the night.
      On this day, we will trek to Cherem while also visiting the Kanchenjunga South Base Camp during the hike. Cherem is known for its lodges too and we will rest there the following night.
      To get to Sele le, we will have to make our way through three passes that include the Sinelapcha 4,646m. Mirgin La pass 4,480m. and Sele-la pass 4,220m. Today we will need to hike for 8-9 hours. Along the way, we will have a good glimpse of many mountains along the way including Everest and the long ridge of Chamlang.
      We will then descend to Ghunsa which is only around 4-5 hours and will be a relatively short hike. The village is known for its traditional wooden houses and its famous monastery. We will spend the following night in Ghunsa and rest for the day ahead.
      After the night at Ghunsa, we will head to Khambachen which is a steep climb from Ghunsa. Please be aware of altitude sickness and continue to drink lots of water and take breaks along the way to avoid sickness. At Khambachen, we will also get a spectacular view of Jannu where we can stop and admire the view during the hike. It will take us around 5 hours from Ghunsa to Kambachen.
      Pang Pema also known as Kanchenjunga Base Camp is known for its spectacular view of Mount Kanchenjunga. We will witness the north side of Mount Kanchenjunga in full view FROM Pang Pema. We will then trek to Lhorak on the same day and descend to rest for the night. This will take a total of 5-6 hours.
      Today, after breakfast, we are going to visit Kanchenjunga north base camp. It is beautiful day trek with the mountain view. Overnight, we will stay in Lhonak.
      Now that we have completed our objective of reaching Kanchenjunga Base Camp, we will retrace our steps and head back to Ghunsa. We will head back to the Kumbhakarna Glacier and arrive Ghunsa where we will spend the following night. It will take us 5-6 hours to descend.
      While heading back to Amjilosa, we will encounter many Buddhist temples on the way including the memorials of a helicopter crash back in 2006. On the way, we will also go through many Tibetan villages and settlements which were used more than a decade ago by Tibetans. We will also pass through groves of forests and rhododendron covered trees. We will then arrive in Amjilosa and spend the night.
      After spending the night in Amjilosa, we will then head to Chirusa along the plantations of rice, millet and buckwheat growing on the fields. Chirusa is a well-developed town, and we will rest for the night. It will take us a total of 6-7 hours to reach there.
      We will then head back to Taplejung which will take us another 5-6 hours. We will spend the following night in Taplejung and will take a rest.
      The next morning, we will drive from Taplejung to Bhadrapur and take a 45-minute flight back to Kathmandu. This will be the final evening in Kathmandu so make sure to enjoy the time you have.
      Check out time from the hotel at 12 noon. We will arrange your International airport transportation during your departure time. You must be at the airport 3 hours prior to your flight time at Kathmandu International airport.
