      Itinerary

      Arrival Kathmandu and Hotel (Hotel Mulberry or similar). (Bed and Breakfast). We pick you up from Kathmandu International airport. (Please, find our stuff outside of arrival with your name plate). Check in and at 5:00 pm meeting with your guide (1st group meeting).
      Half day guided walking tour in Kathmandu (Syambunath known as monkey temple and Kathmandu durbar square). After breakfast we arrange transportation and a city cultural guide. You visit Syambunath stupa (monkey temple). This is the oldest stupa in the World and you get a good view of Kathmandu valley from the top. After Syambunath you walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will see the Old palace and many temples.
      Today we drive to Pokhara by bus via Prithivi highway. It is 210 km distance from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the drive takes around 7-8 hours alone Prithivi highway, the highway connects Kathmandu with major towns of south and western Nepal. From the way, we will see the Manaslu and Annapurna mountain range. After arriving in Pokhara, in the evening your guide takes you on a short orientation walk of Fewa lakeside.
      You pack your bags before breakfast. We having early breakfast and prepare for an exhilarating flight to Jomsom, a picturesque journey of just 20 minutes offering stunning views of iconic peaks like Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri. Arriving in Jomsom, the bustling district headquarters of Mustang, you'll find yourself in a large town serving as the nerve center of the entire Mustang region. Not only is Jomsom a significant settlement, but it also holds historical importance as a vital stop along the age-old Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade route connecting to Tibet via the Kaligandaki area. Brace yourself for the afternoon winds as you embark on a leisurely trek along the gradual path tracing the Kali Gandaki river bed for approximately three hours, eventually arriving at the quaint Ekley-bhatti village. Following a satisfying break here, continue your journey with an easy hour-long walk to Kagbeni, a captivating windswept village situated along the ancient Trans-Himalayan salt trade route leading to Tibet via the Upper Mustang region. At Kagbeni, witness the convergence of the significant tributary Kak Khola from Muktinath with Mustang Khola, marking the inception of the renowned Kali Gandaki river.
      Our adventure commences with a mandatory special permit check as we set out towards the picturesque riverbank of Kaligandaki upstream. Along this scenic route, we'll encounter sandy and windy trails that offer captivating views at every turn, with undulating terrain guiding us through a series of exhilarating ups and downs. Our journey first leads us to the charming Tengbe village, characterized by its narrow alleys weaving amidst whitewashed houses and surrounded by fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat, and flourishing apple orchards. Continuing onwards, we trek towards Chhusang, crossing the river before ascending towards a striking red conglomerate formation that has gracefully descended from the cliffs above, creating a natural tunnel through which the Kaligandaki flows. Pressing on, we traverse small ridges until we reach the quaint Chele village, where our exploration of this remarkable landscape continues.
      Our journey unfolds with an ascent to the majestic Taklam La Pass (3,624m/11,923 ft), navigating through expansive plateaus and winding narrow stretches that offer mesmerizing vistas of Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang, and the imposing Damodar Danda. Descending gently, we arrive at the quaint village of Samar, where we ascend a trail leading above the village, eventually reaching a ridge before descending steeply towards a tranquil stream. Continuing on for another three hours, we find ourselves amidst the serene surroundings of Syanbochen, where we rejuvenate beside refreshing streams and under the shade of ancient juniper trees. These juniper trees hold cultural significance, as locals utilize their dried leaves as incense to invoke blessings for auspicious beginnings. Along the way, we pass by the renowned Ramchung Cave, adding a touch of mystique to our unforgettable journey.
      Embark on the trail to the enchanting Yamda La Pass, standing tall at 3,850m above sea level. As we ascend, we'll traverse through Tibetan-style villages adorned with cozy teahouses and ornate Buddhist chortens, offering glimpses into the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Upon reaching the mountain pass, our journey continues through a scenic forest of poplar trees and sprawling barley fields, adding to the allure of the landscape. Our next ascent leads us to the Nyi Pass, reaching an elevation of 4,010m, a slightly longer but equally rewarding endeavor. Descending from the pass, we arrive at the welcoming embrace of the large village of Ghami, where we settle in for a restful overnight stay, ready to continue our exploration of this captivating terrain.
      Today, our journey from Ghami start as we traverse across large barren fields, crossing the Ghami Khola to ascend towards a plateau adorned with a magnificent Mani wall. Stretching endlessly, these sacred stone walls are embellished with intricately carved wooden wheels, a symbol of reverence for Buddhist devotees who spin them as they pass by, sending their prayers to Lord Buddha. Continuing eastward from the Mani wall, the trail leads us through verdant fields and tranquil forests, guiding us to the charming village of Tsarang perched atop the Tsarang Chu Canyon. As we approach Tsarang, vibrant prayer flags adorning the village's red Gompa flutter joyfully in the wind, offering a colorful welcome and a glimpse into the spiritual essence of this sacred place.
      Embark on an exhilarating trek today as we journey towards the legendary Lo Manthang, graced by panoramic vistas of the majestic Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I, and Bhrikuti peaks. Our trail begins with a descent into the picturesque Charang Chu Canyon, followed by a challenging ascent after crossing the river. As we ascend further, the path leads us gently to the lofty 3,850m pass of Lo, offering breathtaking views of the sprawling Lo Mangthang Valley below. Descending towards Lo Manthang, the sight of the walled city against the backdrop of the Tibetan border hills is nothing short of awe-inspiring. We conclude our day's journey with a well-deserved overnight stay at a local hotel, where comfort awaits amidst the captivating ambiance of this legendary destination.
      Today, we visit rich cultural heritage of Lo Manthang. Visit to Namgyal Gompa, perched atop a hill, serving as a revered monastery for the local community and a solemn seat of justice. Following your exploration of Namgyal Gompa, venture onwards to Tingkhar, the final prominent village nestled to the northwest of Lo-Mangthang. Take a leisurely stroll back to your hotel, soaking in the tranquil ambiance of this ancient town. Alternatively, indulge in another captivating option by visiting the Tall Champa Lakhang, affectionately known as the "God house," along with the striking red Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa, and the impressive Entrance Hall, which stand as prominent landmarks of the town's cultural tapestry. Don't miss the opportunity to marvel at the majestic four-storey Raja's palace and the sweeping panoramic vistas of the Himalayas that envelop this breathtaking landscape.
      Embarking on a new path, we bid farewell to Lo-Mangthang, opting for an alternative route to enrich our journey. Setting out early in the morning, we evade the intensifying dusty winds that prevail later in the day. Our trek leads us to Gyakar, home to an ancient gompa dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, boasting a remarkable history spanning over 1200 years. Here, amidst the serene surroundings, lies Ghar Gompa, adorned with renowned rock paintings that narrate tales of antiquity. Legend has it that those who make a wish at Ghar Gompa will find their desires fulfilled, adding an aura of mystique and reverence to this sacred site
      Today marks our return journey to Ghiling, where we'll settle in for our overnight stay following a fulfilling trek that spans approximately 5-6 hours. Upon reaching Ghiling, we'll savor a hearty lunch before immersing ourselves in exploration of the surrounding area. However, it's worth noting that the afternoon winds tend to stir up dust, making it more pleasant to venture out for a leisurely walk in the evening when the air is clearer and more refreshing.
      Embarking on a picturesque journey from Ghiling to Chhuksang, we anticipate a delightful trek spanning approximately 5-6 hours. As we retrace our steps towards Chhuksang, immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery adorned with majestic Himalayan vistas, adding an extra layer of enchantment to our expedition. After a fulfilling day of exploration, we'll find respite and comfort at a local teahouse, where you can unwind and recharge amidst the tranquil ambiance of this captivating region
      On our final day of the Upper Mustang Trek, we rise early to embark on a challenging yet rewarding journey. Departing from Kagbeni, we bid farewell to the upper Mustang trail and transition onto the renowned Annapurna Circuit Trail. This scenic route guides us as we descend towards Jomsom, marking the conclusion of our memorable adventure through the captivating landscapes of Upper Mustang.
      We are taking a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara in the morning. The flight takes 15 to 17 minutes with a small twin otter plan. Check in Hotel, have a shower, and be fresh. You have a free day in Pokhara. There are no activities planned. If you want some activities let know your guide. We arrange your activities otherwise it is a good place for a souvenir shop. Evening find a good restaurant and have fun.
      You can have a late morning. Prepared around 10 am. We drive to Pokhara airport which takes 30-40 minutes. We are taking a flight to Kathmandu and drive to Hotel. Final evening so enjoy your evening.
      Check out time from the hotel at 12 noon. We arrange your International airport transportation. You must be 3 hours before your flight time in Kathmandu International airport.
